Hi everyone, My name is Nicole Rainford and I am a senior Biological Sciences Major with a concentration in Neurobiology and Physiology. In the lab, I am a research assistant that helps with day-to-day tasks and assist with fish husbandry. I took Dr. Haag's BSCI207 class as a sophomore and immediately became interested in learning more about the evolutionary and developmental side of biological sciences.
A few things I do outside of the lab include interning at the NIH in the NIDDK, working part-time as a medical scribe at Adventist HealthCare in Shady Grove, fulfilling my duties as a CMNS Ambassador, tutoring elementary school kids for the Latino Student Fund, and exploring DC with my friends whenever I can!
